Wheels down, and you’re here.

Chub Cay has its own airport — a paved runway, customs on island, and the clubhouse a few minutes from the apron.

Runway 11/29, 109°/289°. Aircraft parking on the south side of the 11 end is unpaved. Paved parking and the customs and immigration building are on the north side, a little further along. Not for navigation — use current charts and NOTAMs.

Flying in

From Fort Lauderdale

Makers Air flies several times a week from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE). Aztec Airways also runs a few flights a week. Both land you on the island in under an hour.

From Nassau

Short hops between Nassau and Chub Cay most days, and private charters when the schedule doesn't suit. The front desk keeps the current timetable and rates.

Private aircraft

The runway takes light jets and turboprops. Chub Cay is a port of entry: customs and immigration meet arriving aircraft by arrangement. Let the front desk know your tail number and ETA before you depart so clearance and transport are waiting.

On the ground

Customs and immigration

Everyone arriving from outside the Bahamas clears on island. Have passports and the Bahamas arrival card ready; the process is short when the paperwork is.

Getting to the club

The airport is a few minutes from the marina and clubhouse. Complimentary transport is arranged through the front desk — tell them your flight and someone will be at the apron.

Departing

Confirm your return flight with the front desk the day before. For private departures, the same call arranges customs outbound and your ride to the airport.

Planning a flight?

The front desk handles timetables, charters, customs arrangements and transport from the runway.
